Humble beginnings laid the foundation for everything that followed. What started with a single truck and a vision in Waco, Texas, grew through perseverance, grit, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Each project, each challenge, and each success helped shape the company Beaird Drilling has become today.

1980s
David McAdams joined the company as President in March 1985. Steve and David built more than a company, they built a lasting partnership. Through economic ups and downs, industry changes, and countless challenges, they persevered with determination, continuously learning, adapting, and growing the business year after year.
The first flatbed truck represents more than equipment, it represents the beginning of a journey. Through long hours, uncertain times, and a steadfast belief in the future, Beaird Drilling was built one project at a time, earning trust through hard work and keeping promises along the way.
By expanding past the original Waco location, Beaird Drilling opened up locations in both Austin and San Antonio and became local to both. Beaird Drilling also began the gradual process of upgrading its resources – starting with it loyal employees of over 25 years.
1990s
2000s
Beaird Drilling secured the Valero Corporate Campus project in San Antonio for SpawGlass General Contractors and participated in multiple high-rise developments throughout Austin. The company purchased the first of many track-mounted drilling rigs and continued expanding both equipment and workforce to meet growing demand across Texas.
2010s
Beaird Drilling entered the heavy civil construction market. Major projects included SH 130, featuring foundation work associated with the 78-bridge corridor connecting Austin and San Antonio, and the MY35 widening project through Salado and Waco. During this decade, the company established strong working relationships with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and supported numerous military and government projects, including work at Wilford Hall and military housing facilities.
2020s
Beaird Drilling expanded its fleet to more than 20 drilling rigs and support units while increasing its presence throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Notable projects included American Airlines, Trinity University, Victory Towers, Texas Christian University (TCU), and the University of North Texas (UNT). The company continued delivering turnkey foundation solutions for water infrastructure, wastewater infrastructure, power transmission, communications infrastructure, commercial construction, and heavy civil projects throughout Texas.
